Matrix is a skills-based soccer academy for young players up to 16 years, which has been endorsed and filmed by UEFA and highly rated by many international coaches and players. It uses a mix of Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Brazilian football styles, typifying the concept of ‘total football’, and takes soccer skills development to a whole new level.
Matrix is a technical coaching model that aims to improve young players’ techniques, ball control, vision, awareness, sportsmanship and sheer enjoyment of the game. It gives young footballers the chance to maximise their potential, helping them to become the stars of tomorrow.
Matrix was founded in 2006 by Blackburn Rovers’ Advanced Technical Skills Development Coach, Charlie Jackson, who is also Director of Football at Moorland School, and business entrepreneur, Tahir Khan, who is actively engaged in children’s welfare work. It is continually growing and developing, adding new soccer skills courses in different areas, training up additional Matrix coaches, and generally aiming to be the No 1 soccer academy in the UK. |
