If you need convincing about Matrix, then watch the DVD presentation. Filmed by UEFA and narrated by Sky Sports presenter Andy Gray, it showcases the Matrix Soccer Academy, which is officially recognised as an innovative product by UEFA.

The programme profiles Charlie Jackson, who emphasises how the Matrix method was developed and analyses the six main building blocks of the training programme. A series of different technical drills are then described by Gray and illustrated with clips from famous televised games, explanatory diagrams and footage of Matrix players enacting these basic skills. There’s also film of a 4 v 4 Matrix mini game, which is how every drill session finishes. Former Aston Villa and Scotland centre forward and PFA Player’s Player of the Year, Andy Gray concludes that the Matrix soccer school is ‘the best by far, since it’s not only informative, but lots of fun’.
